LunarPages has the 'value hosting' equation worked out quite well. With a variety of plans available, a generous list of free add-on scripts and a low price of $4.95 per month, it's hard to ignore the LunarPages offering.
Signup Although it did take 15 minutes to receive our account information, we were quite pleased with the ample direction given in their Welcome Email. Inside the email, we found out how to access our account, how to access support, information on setting up our domain, how to setup our email and so forth. Support LunarPages has done a great job of educating users. From the Welcome Email to the LunarPages forums, easy to access support and well organized video tutorials, LunarPages makes it easy to feel 'at home' using their service very quickly. Features Customers have access to a wealth of free scripts (i.e. the Fantastico collection, WordPress, cPanel, etc) and services. Their Pagemason service is included with your account, and enables website owners to create websites without any experience. If you want to do something a little less templated, LunarPages also offers their "Quicksite Plan" service, which allows you to setup your own website in less than two hours. The cost of the service is only 50ยข daily, so you can't really go wrong there. In addition to the freebies, we really liked the Premium Restore service (available at $1.50 per month), which allows you to request a deleted file to be restored in case you accidentally remove vital information from your account. Within the LunarPages integrated control panel, we also found a pleasant surprise - a network status page, which gave us the status and health of the server that our account was located on. Experience The LunarPages experience is truly top notch and easy to follow. The only problem we had was initially setting up a free script from our Fantastico collection; however support was able to rectify the issue quickly.
