Pretty good hosting overall. Definitely a good price; customer service is slow and tech support is OK. We've had intermitten email problems over the past week. Not too long thoughj.

You can tell a good site by the online, 2008-08-06

You can tell a good site by the online community it has around it and InMotion is served by a fantastic forum. Quite often the users on here will be able to sort you out with a problem and fix it quicker than any of the support staff can. This means that you can get your own site back on track in next to no time and ensure your clients get the best deal going.

We all make mistakes, 2008-08-06

We all make mistakes but when you are paying for a service, you want a job done well. I know nothing about switching sites or database so I hired InMotion to do the task for me. In the process they lost some files. I never lost anything vital but that's not the point is it, it has still caused one or two glitches in my site. I do have a long contract though so theres not much to be done.

The online forum at InMotion is a great place to swap ideas and tips about running a business online. I have learned a lot from my fellow users and their advice has been invaluable to a new site starting out. Hopefully in a year or two I will be able to offer this sort of help and experience to newcomers in the same way that I have been helped. Until then though, I will keep trying to learn.

If you have serious web, 2008-08-06

I've tried a few hosting companies and I think I'm sticking with InMotion for a while. My databases have always worked and I haven't come across much downtime. It's a reasonable price you pay, you can find cheaper but do they offer as good a service? I doubt it. No site is perfect but I don't think theres too much for people to be upset with InMotion about. If you have serious web site needs, deal with the professionals.
